DISPLACEMENT VENTILATION
 

for ventilation:

Displacement ventilation without any draught and noise, supplying fresh air only without any recirculated air.
Only provide the air to breath. Narrow air pipeline section saving a lot of space and optimize the air flow. The air flow in from low end pipe and ejected through the upper people line. No air blow and noise and repeated use of the same air at any single time.

 

Together with the right envelope, these technologies show a self regulation, maintaining the comfort temperature without a lot of control technology.

 

The air is brought in at very low speed (0.2 –0.3 m/s) to avoid any feeling of draught and noise. Its temperature is slightly below room air temperature. For this reason it remains on the floor and spreads everywhere also behind any obstacles, as if it would be water. Due to the very low speed, it also does not make any dust coming up. The air is sucked upwards by the thermal buoyancy of the heat sources, as the human being. It streams along the body up, feeds the nose with fresh air and is thus heated and polluted by body odours. It arrives at the ceiling and from there it is taken away by the exhaust. (picture21)In this way all bad properties of traditional air systems are avoided: no draught, no noise, and no “air condition feeling” due to turbulence and a very low air volume is enough to create excellent air hygiene. In summer the air is supplied dry with about 30% relative humidity and in winter it is humidified to about 30%. This relatively dry air has been liked by the people very much, especially in summer and it avoids also any condensation on the floor slabs. The air is thus fed at low speed and constant volume, no controls are necessary and small tubes are used, making the system cheap.
